so, the threaded insert in the carbon stay on my ellsworth has decided to detach itself from the carbon, creating a bit of a hole in the process! i have an alloy swingarm to replace but would like to get my carbon one repaired and back on asap! any recommendations of places (i’m based in sussex) or ideas of prices to get it fixed? cheers

We’ve had good results from carbonbikesolutions.com , may be worth giving them a call.

The CBS that I know of (may not be the one referred to above) has a totally different web address to its name… http://www.carboncyclerepairs.co.uk/index.html

That’s the one I meant ^^^^^, go onto the website and carbonbikesolutions is splashed across the main page, add a touch of brain-fade and you’ve got the wrong adress.

Paid a visit to CBS a couple of months back with two cracked carbon frames.

One he wasn’t happy with and didn’t seem to think was worth repairing (I tended to agree) and the other he told me to keep riding.

700 miles on and it’s still going, crack hasn’t grown and I’ve limited my losses. He could easily have taken my £150 and wrapped it.

So can’t exactly vouch for his repairs (paintwork looks good) but from looking around and chatting he certainly knows his carbon and I’d be very happy to let him handle any future work.
