    I’m thinking of getting a carbon hardtail. Randon black sin 8.0. What r the benefits of going carbon if any??

    I have owned (quick count) 9 carbon MTBs. They’ve been excellent. I’ve actually only had 3 metal ones.

    It’s not as clear cut as ‘x is better’. At the extreme end carbon is lighter, but it’s not a given that because a frame is carbon it weighs less than its aluminium counterpart.

    Some are stiff. Some aren’t. As with alu/steel/ti frames.

    Radon bikes look good though, go nuts.

    In that case the carbon bike will definitely hold the flavour better.

    Got 2 carbon bikes, not planning on going back to metal frames at any point.
