The company I work for have been asked to quote on a carbon fibre part, that will be water-jet cut, for an assembly we are doing. Does anyone know where we could buy carbon fibre sheet from? Needs to be 3mm thick…

how big a sheet? is the part loaded or just cosmetic? do you want the part cut for you

googling out there in fantasy land carbonology will try to mug you for about 50 quid for an a4 sheet

1050mm x 800mm x 3mm. Cosmetic only (we think at this stage)..

It may be worth asking here.

if you want to drop us a line off the forum feel free i probably know a company that could supply this or at least have some contacts

there are several companies if you google online which is what most people do when they want carbon sheet one company having a particularly fine giggle seems to be polar composites (scroll to the bottom of the page)

If it’s purely cosmetic you could cut the part out of any old material and cover it with carbon-effect self adhesive vinyl.
