Firstly can you insure a car for 1 day, as I recently bought a car which I need to get from London to Cambridge. I only have a provisional license.

I’m hoping to speed up the learning process by both taking lessons and using this car. Do I just insure myself as a provisional license driver then have someone next to me, or do I have to insure them as well.
