Canyon Road Bikes – Anyone tried the VCLS 2.0 seatpost?

This seatpost is an optional extra on the canyon road bike i’m looking at. The post is split down the middle, held together with the clamp at the top. The theory is that each part can move independently to absorb road buzz. Anyone tried it and noticed a difference, or is it a bit of a gimmick?
