I use Candys on my "fast" road bike in the winter - so I can wear my MW80s - and on my touring/commuting road bike all year round. They have a little bit of platform which means they are more comfortable on longer trips than a standard "Shimano"/Eggbeater style pedal but you can still walk around on the cleat, unlike the roadies style.
The Shimano A520 are another options.
Personally, I'd be avoiding any of the older style Candys as reliability has been a bit of an issue (though all mine have been fine). The newer ones (1,2,3, & 11s) come with a 3 or 5 year warranty and are much better designed and built.
