I foolishly bid on the wrong wtem off ebay and now have a 1.5″ stem lying around unused. I could use it on another bike- can you get reducer shims for this?

The reducer shims for a 1-18″ to 1″ steerer shims would also work for this I assume, just need to be opened up a bit to stretch onto the larger steerer… though that does sound potentially dodgy… maybe someone nice on here will machine one for you?

I’m no engineer but surely that would just reduce an 1 1/4″ stem to 1 1/8″, not a 1 1/2″?

    Me neither – good point… 😆

Yep, I did the same thing and had to make a sleeve to reduce an 1 1/4″ stem down to 1 1/8″. It works fine as long as you put a slit in the sleeve that lines up with the slit in the stem so it can tighten up.

    Can’t you return the part?
