Just looking online and can’t seem to find the ability to buy just the crank arms, is this the case for a reason?

    Thanks

Shimano don’t sell crank arms on their own, never have. But yes you can. M985s have a unique 88mm BCD, I use a ring from Experimental Prototype, bit of a ballache though, be easier to just get M980s.

I bought the triple sold the rings and bb for £150 , cranks were on offer for £284 on crc so £134 for the crank arms 😀 then fitted an e-13 single ring and some KCNC chainring bolts that finished the cranks of nicely.

Oh ok well that’s positive then 🙂

So basically, get the M980 set, sell the extra, and pick up little bits to get it all working.

    SOLD.
    Thanks! 😀

I have to say I don’t really like the KCNC caps – the Shimano ones which match colour look good, but I just used normal bolts:
