    Just checking that there is no conflict with wire diameter etc, since I noticed that you can apparently buy SRAM and Shimano specific gear outer.

    Think i've worked it out. Shimano seems to be 1.2mm diameter, SRAM 1.1mm.

    I run XTR cables with an X9 shifter/mech set up and it works like a (Cadburys) dream
