One that doesn't charge the Earth for shipping a bike and will collect from a Post Office or home address?

I'm thinking DHL, ParcelForce, etc. etc.

    Many thanks.

I've used Parcel2go.com and found their service to be excellent. Cheap as chips too…

I have used interparcel about a dozen time and have always been impressed (most of their services are UPS).

    Parcelforce have good insurance too.

I went to my local Post office to post a parcel to Oz and I can track it online.

I posted my complete bike with parcel force recently. It was boxed and in a bike bag – so it was ruddy big and weighed almost 20kg – but I found it hard to find a service whose max dimensions were large enough. Cost £27.50 collected and next day delivery with parcelforce.
