As title really, planning a couple of days up there and wondering if anyone knew of any good spots? Campsite or wild, not really fussed, just going solo. Don't mind which place its nearer.

    Cheers!

There's a campsite at Spean Bridge, which is halfway between the two. Don't know what it's like though.

Wherever you camp though, bring a midge net for your head. The little sods are at their worst at the moment, which for Scotland is saying something. And I do mean a midge net. None of the so-called miracle repellents really works 100% when they are this bad.

Lochy Holiday Park is cool (just north of Fort Bill, turn opposite the distillery then right before Neptune's Staircase, past a big ugly school). The camping field is right on the river, only a row of trees and shingle beach before you get wet.

There is a good wild spot at the South Laggan lock…pop into the barge and ask Paul & Jan.

    Just look for the http://theeaglebarge.com

Really nice people and excellent food….well worth popping in for a beer and a chat…

I stopped up there in June, I plan on going back next year too!

I stayed at Bunroy campsite in Roy Bridge on Monday. 10 miles to Nevis Range, 25 to Laggan Wolftrax. Quiet, good facilities and walking distance to two pubs (both of which do OK bar food). The clincher: they've got midge eaters.
