Planning on a couple of nights in the Peak District prior to SITS.
So what's hot and what's not?
We are after more of a camp site, and less of a caravan holiday park!
We don't want a pool, bar, kids playground etc.
Just decent toilet/shower block etc.
Oh, and some good family riding near by.
Ta muchly,
FC

The ones in Edale are good, North Lees nr Hathersage. Haddon Grove Farm, but miles from Dark Peak.

Not sure about Monyash Rob, but there's some cracking trails round Bakewell and Matlock. Not as good as the Dark Peak though, I'll admit.
As Spud says, there's a decent one somewhere in Hathersage.

I'd recommend the campsites around Edale, Barber Booth and Upper Booth... I've stayed in most of them over the years and they've all been pretty good.
North Lees, which is mentioned above, is a very quiet campsite and you get frowned on for making any noise at all after about 9:30 in the evening, it's mainly full of serious climbers at the weekend and they all get up at the crack of dawn. But if that's your thing it's a good little site, and well situated too.
