How come you dont have a NEX?

The kit zoom lens is bigger than the pen (which has the smallest m4/3). The olympus also has sensor stabilisation which I prefer. The pen e-p1 also has knobs (unlike the nex or olympus e-pl).

But… the current price of the Nex is insanely cheap and in terms of IQ it simply is better. The DR is remarkable compared to m4/3.

If I was buying now I might buy a Nex (because of the price). But size and stabilised primes are important to me… so maybe not…

I’m not sure you understand my point about linear resolution vs megapixel count. Linear resolution gives a far more meaningful indication of sensor size. Megapixel counts are best left to salesmen and marketing departments.

A 16MP aps-c has 264 more lines of resolution than a 12MP four-thirds sensor. In real world terms – it is really insignificant.

As for Nex vs Pen vs GF1 or 2 – it’s probably down to the OP to goto the shops and try them out. I would be a little wary of a new system until its taken hold.
