   Do the come with the plate for mounting them onto Shimano shoes or not? Some photos imply that they are included, but photos of the packaging don't have them visible

   yeah thanks for that. The plate is removable on (all?) Shimanos. After 10 years of neglect I need to get hold of new plates

   They are called Cleat Nuts and are not supplied with cleats(normally). Try the Classifieds
