Been thinking about getting one from the U.S. Has anyone bought one this way, if so do you get charged import duty plus how has it been for any warranty claims?

Yep, brought direct with express postage. Took 3 days and no hassles with customs. Post been fine for

3 years. If I remember I paid about170 to 180, as exchange rate was a bit more favourable at the time.

The ‘control box thingy’ (where the remote cable goes into the locking mechanism) debonded from the shaft of the seatpost. Quite a common fault I understand.

I dint send mine back. I epoxyed it up and added a couple of cable ties just for luck. When doing this, you need to be careful with alignment as the locking pin needs to move freely back and forth or it dunt lock/unlock on command. You also need to ensure you’re not too enthusiastic with the epoxy or it’ll lock the pin in place or block it’s hole up.

Takes longer to write out than to do….
