    Help. what does this mean? new job, and current one i just wear jeans and a polo shirt. no one said anything so i got away with it. i ought to make the effort at the new place. i have zero idea about this kind of thing!

    The City of London is very different than Argos back office IT staff

    Leather shoes. Chinos or non-denim jean cut trousers*. Shirt (long sleeve obvs, button down collar if you wish). Sports jacket. V neck jumper if you’re cold.

    Because so much decent fashion fits into these loose categories, you can actually look really tidy and still feel comfortable.

    Just don’t dress like a Top Gear presenter.

    *Lots of places would accept jeans, so long as tidy.
