Next year I have a very special one-off occasion to celebrate in April & I am thinking of a ride/push up Snowdon & ride back down.

The date is sorted but I need help with accommodation in the Snowdonia area & was hoping that the STW massiv can give me the benefit of your own experience of staying in or around Snowdonia.

Ideally I’m looking for a bunkhouse to sleep around 15 people preferably close to Snowdon better still if we could ride from the door there & back.

Cheap, clean, close enough to ride Snowdon from and will take 15 no problem (think they have 3 rooms each taking 6).

Bear in mind there is a daytime ban on riding Snowdon during Summer months.

For an epic day do Cadair Idris (the 2nd highest rideable peak in Wales and an ace ride too) during the day, jump in the car and hotfoot it to Llanberis, dump the car at the bunkhouse and head up Snowdon.

Back down, dump the bikes and into Llanberis for beer and grub – The Heights is a nice place to eat and drink.

Very close to Snowdon but you can’t drive all the way to it, you have park up and walk over a couple of fields to get there. Amazing location.

Could also try Pete’s Eats in Llanberis, a few minutes away from the bottom of the Llanberis Path on the high street, they’ve got bunkhouse type accommodation upstairs but I’m not sure how many beds, I know there’s quite a few.

Trawsfyndd holiday village got a 20 bed bunk house with drying room, large kitchen & lounge, loads of parking & a pub.
2 mins from cyb. I’ve used it 3 times now and will again.
