    I’ve managed to knacker both crank arm pedal threads on my new cranks. Too much brawn. Is this something a bike shop can sort for me?

    try screwing the pedals in from the back? what cranks?

    if XTR beware : as soft as cheese – try as ralph suggests or run a 9/16″ tap through (LH on Left side of course !)

    Happend to me once, had a helicoil fitted. Cost me £20 but it was an xt crank so worth it.
