Thinking of binning sky and going with bt but I’m a bit worried about the tv channels. Kids watch Nickelodeon, wife watches a lot of American shizzle, crime channel (think she’s planning on killing me) and I like my documentaries. Is it pretty much the same ?

I made the change last year. kids channels are reduced but kids are kids, they’ll watch and get used to whatever is on. Of course the Sky channels are absent but my wife loves crime channels and all the US crap like ‘Say yes to the Dress’ and there is still plenty of that tosh.

I miss the number of HD channels. With Sky channels like ITV2 and ITV3 and BBC3 and BBC4 have HD versions too which you don’t get on Freeview, but it’s a minor issue.

All in all 95% of what we watched when we had Sky we are still watching and saving about £250 a year, so basically paying for one of the car insurances.
