I have a Topeak Pocket Shock from a few years ago, when I attach it to my forks it fills up with air and the handle shoots out, when you try pump its impossible because you are fighting with whatever psi is in the fork.

Am I stupid to want to fix this? should I just get a new pump?
I feel like a seal or o-ring has gone but opening it up I dont see anything wrong.

yes replace it, the handle should not shoot out! Put a note up on wanted and you’ll probably get a decent one for a tenner or so. They give them away with new forks so some folks have a few.
