    riding round Dalby forest this afternoon, and my rear shock – fox float rl circa 2001/2 – started making a strange pssht noise as it compressed.. But wasn’t losing any air. Few minutes later, It then went clunk and the travel was limited to about 20mm. Something has clearly got knackered inside. 🙁

    Question is… Has this happened to anyone before, and is worth servicing… Or do I simply replace it with a newer model (for about the same cost off ebay!!). It was last serviced a couple of years back by tftuned.

    Btw.. It’s on an old model superlight

    Given the vintage of the shock, replacement would seem to be the better option.

    That was my thinking…although I might give tf a ring in the morning to see if they can guess what’s wrong with it!
