Oops, i knocked the hdmi lead and snapped off the wee bit of plastic between the pins on the hdmi socket. It doesn’t work any more. Not too pleased with myself.

I suppose i’ll need to buy a new console as playing via composite or s-video just doesn’t cut it.

Anyone any idea if its possible to get a new socket put in?

Failing that, when i buy a new console is it possible to get my saved game data on to the new one?

    Cheers.

No way of fixing it really, you could open it up and solder in a hdmi housing from a cheap hdmi selecter ? and you can do a backup to an external hdd and restore it to your new machine just make sure you use the same account sign in.

Thanks. I’ve emailed a local console repair firm for a quote, i’m hopeless with a soldering iron.
