No wonder were all so freakin ugly.
I'm waiting to break my nose a fourth time in the vain hope it might be like corrective surgery.

Oldgit
Mine keeps being broken the same way, gradually migrating across my face. Gives me a "lived in" look. Just waiting to get hit by a southpaw and that should hopefully solve the problem though, but probably only got 2 or 3 seasons left in me and this one has been a write off with a new baby and new house.Posted 2 years ago # -

Yep did mine first time in the 70s and they didn't worry about how pretty you looked when you left hospital back then. Mines so badly fixed I've had nasal problems ever since.
Still not as annoying as the forever split finger nail?Posted 2 years ago # -

Just scrolling down the first page I didn't read the the thread properly and thought some poor bugger and broken their collar bone 18 times, now that would be unlucky

2 x ankles and 2 x legs falling 25ft off a climb in the peak - almost had both amputated
arm - only bike related one, rode over a twig on a pavement at about 2 mph, fell off sideways and broke arm.Led to an interesting conversation at mountain mayhem a week later: 'are you alright mate (pushing bike through mud with one arm' 'yeh just got a broken arm' 'are you limping as well?' 'its okay having my ankle fused in the morning'
At least I had 6 weeks to recover from mayhem after having my ankle joint removed and replaced with titanium.Gareth

Old git I know where your coming from with nasal problems, had passages widened slightly and use Flixonase nasal spray to try to keep them clear. I side always feels blocked.

Yes. You're also the only person I've ever heard of with a heart bone, let alone a broken one.

I haven't read the whole thread however I would be very surprised if anyone else has smashed their sacrum. Not that a month in hospital was anything to be smug about - the feeling of warm sun on your head after that long inside is unbelievable.

I'm sure someone on here could do a picture of a skeleton and enlarge the bones according to the breakage stats. I'm sure the result would look very weird, and possibly like most of us on here

Wish it'd been my collar bone.
It didn't, and the force impacted into the AC joint taking with it part of the cartilage, and it's one part of the body that doesn't re-grow cartilage - so that's my swimming days over.Posted 2 years ago # -
