Has anyone used Brickslips.co.uk ? I’m about to purchase an order of Olde Bayswater Blend for the kitchen. If anyone has any examples they’d be kind enough to share, I’d be grateful.

Also interested in any similar alternatives before pushing the red button.

    Cheers.

Don’t know about that company but have used brick slips on several projects, I tend to use a brick factor though.

I’d suggest looking at thinking about the brick bond as well, maybe something like English bond, and using a syringed lime mortar to carry out the pointing.

I have a little bit of knowledge on this 🙂 I work for the largest UK manufacturer of bricks, so we supply our fair share of slips. I haven’t dealt with the company you have mentioned, but as far as I can tell they just buy bricks from others and cut them into slips. There are actually a few of our bricks renamed on their website. The ones you are interested in aren’t made by my company. Ultimately the brick slips they are selling are just a cut brick, so quality should be pretty consistent from whoever you buy them from. For a small quantity their prices look to be okay.

Let me know if you want any more info.

Doesn’t matter what the subject someone here will have first hand knowledge of the subject or supplier. Perhaps STW Towers could offer a sub to the first person who draws a blank on a specialist query. It’s not you OP
