What a stunning day. Classic 3 summit loop starting at mynydd du forest. Not that many riding shots but when it looks like this, bikes seem a bit secondary. It was wet under-tyre and proper muddy in places. We didn’t care.

Click for full size. Enjoy 🙂

When it’s dark, wet and grey, this day will remind me all is not lost 🙂

It was just so still. I’ve ridden that route many times in all four seasons. And until yesterday it’s always been windy especially on the summits. The water at Gwyn Fawr was like glass. Looking out of the window into the fog today is making Monday especially hard 😉

Arse! I was going to go to Gwyn Fawr yesterday but decided to take it easy and do a few miles in the FOD instead. Gutted.

Looks like you had a great day though, fair play.

@stoner – these are filed in the same album as when you and I did it about 7 years ago. You on your single-speed rigid. The one the crank fell off 🙂

@br short sleeves indeed. Wet feet as well 😉

We’d planned this for a few weeks so were so lucky with the weather!

Beautiful. We saw some cloud inversions yesterday on our roadie club run in Kent. Autumn is the best season for beautiful photos IMO

Looks awesome. Considering the folks live relatively close by and brother lives in the Brecon’s I’ve done very little riding there. Any chance of a link to the route so I can download it to do sometime?

Alex – That looks amazing, ive never ridden around Brecon, and that has made me really want to. Do you have a GPX or a bit more of a route description please?

Ah, the joys of the superstarcomponents crank. That takes me back

I do remember doing that ride with only one brake as my rear rotor hadnt arrived for the rohloff though (not SS, I wasnt quite so deranged back then). Made the descent to Llanbedr entertaining. I think I had to bail into the brambles once the front brake had pumped up to nothingness 🙂

My, didnt we look a lot younger then 😉

Great day to be up there. Me and my mate did the Gap route from Talybont and then skirted round the peaks before coming up and over them from the Corn-Du end. Fun ride and all the Bikers, of which we met two groups of four, and all the walkers were very friendly.

Top of a Welsh mountain in November, in T shirt and shorts, who’d have thought it!

    Aye.

But at least we were considerably less enduro-euro-hypno-fluoro colourwayed back then. You lot are too old to be dressed like that!

Looks like a superb ride. I did a loop up Crug Mawr recently and dying to go back for a long classic ride up the valley…

@stoner – you can’t be choosy rooting in the bargain bucket box 🙂

@molgrips – I appear to have some kind of middle aged parallax vision going on. I shall go and find a straight line..

Can’t find an easy way to share GPX, so feel free to drop me an email (in profile) and I’ll send it straight back!
