    my mate lent me a bleed kit for my juicy threes with some standard dot fluid…the brakes say they can take several fluids tho…so what is best for the brakes?

    I used 5.1 and it was okay.

    It probably says it can take DOT 4 or DOT 5.1 right?
    Either is fine, DOT 5.1 has a slightly higher boiling point.

    I very much doubt that you'd notice any difference at all in practice.
