It happens I will be riding in BPW towards the end of June and I am looking for something my wife and two girls age 5 and 9 could do while I am enjoying the trails. Do you have any recommendations? Something outdoor or indoor which could occupy them during the day? Anything for good / bad weather?

There’s a big cinema (Vue) and leisure pool on the other side of the A470, one roundabout north of the BPW turn off.

If they want to cycle, the Taff Trail is flattish and goes almost by the door of BPW (I wouldn’t bother with the Badger Trail – ten mins and you’re done).

Further up the A470 through the Pant estate is the Brecon Mountain Railway – it’s quite a short out and back train ride but OK if you combine with a walk & picnic.

Big Pit or walk up Pen Y Fan.
