  • Boost fork with non boost hub – possible?

Wondering if anyone can help – I’m looking at a bike that comes with a 110mmm x 15mm boost fork, but I would like to run a dynamo hub that is only available in 100x15mm. If I was to get 2 5x15mm spacers to go either side of the hub, then a 5mm brake rotor spacer (I believe hope make 2.5mm ones) to bring the disk back in line, would this work? Do I run a risk of having play in the hub, or would it all tighten up ok?

    Any advice much appreciated!

Thinking out loud here, but do you need to adjust both sides? Is it possible to space the non disc side by 10mm and then dish the wheel back to centre the rim? You’d need new spokes if the wheel was already built.

EDIT: although I was just beaten to it with that link…

Great, thanks! Only trouble is those end caps won’t fit a dynamo hub, but would a 5 or 10mm plain spacer do the same thing?

Talk to 18bikes – there may be plans for more options and they’ll be able to tell you about the spacers too, I expect, if you let them know which hub it is.
