Moved into a 3 bed, 1 bath, 5 rads semi with conventional boiler + tanks. The boiler is on its last legs and we are thinking of switching to a combi to gain space and remove noisy pipes from daughters room.

We can get a worcester bosch highflow 400 cdi for 50% less than the cheapest online price (family member works for seimens). Does this sound like a good idea?

A Highflow in a 3 bed semi is massively overkill, plus it’s a floor standing boiler so takes up quite a bit of space.

If you can get cheap Worcester boilers go for something like a 34CDi or 38CDi at most.

I thought this might be the case, but it only £100 more than the 34cdi – would it not be worth it for higher water rate and extra capacity if we want to add another bathroom? I have a large boiler cupboard so space there is not an issue.
