I think it is an adaptation as it has nothing to do with that, but is about a Scottish cheese burger van owner who runs as an independent in a local by election. He does not have a clue about politics

Tried it, disliked it. Persevered, tried it again, still dislike it. Sorry, this is a fail for the BBC comedy dept.

I live in Dundee, so it’s nice to see the local sights of broughty ferry, but as far as comedy goes, it’s not really that funny.

Brian cox should stick to playing CIA type guys in Hollywood movies in my opinion, don’t think comedy is for him.

I liked the radio series, but didn’t think much of the TV one.
