Don’t have this bike.

What I like: 120 mm travel.
120 mm … 130 mm is great.

Spec looks good!
2.2 Continental mountain king for XC o.k..
If you like to use the bike also for trail biking a wider tire with more grip might be an option.
Maybe check the frame information if you get wider tyres mounted.
Rims: 19 mm inner bead? This would be a bit “old school”. But later upgrade to 25 mm always an option.

Got one, it’s great.

Stuck on a 30t steel ring, dropper (it has stealth routing), stuck a load of volume spacers in the forks and ghetto tubeless the wheels.

Front end is a bit high so slammed the stem with a shorter headset top cap.

Find it rides really well for xc. Tyres seem like a good compound, tubeless well, no problem with the narrow rims on xc.

Can’t go wrong.

I’ve got one. Very happy with it.

I swapped the tyres to HRII and Ardent and converted the rims to tubeless. I ran it with a dropper for a while before this got put on another bike.

Comes with a great fork and drivetrain. The Guide brakes are also excellent

Great for XC and longer non technical rides. I also did the Glentress 7 on it.

Got mine for £900. Total bargain!

I’ve just bought the 2017 version. Took it to Bedgbury on Wednesday and promptly set loads of pb’s without trying, so I’m loving it. Fantastic value (especially at BC discount / sale price of £810) and fun to ride 😀

In this case….mmmhhhh: what’s about an 27.5 inch bike with 2.6 inch tyres or so and an HA of 65 deg? Or similar? In this case I would look for ‘long and slack’ with fat tyres.

Weighs 12kg out the box for a medium.

Does it really have a 68.5 degree head angle? It looks slacker than that i.e. identical to the fs pro which is advertised as 68.5 but is actually 67.5

Anyway im happy with it, feels really modern geo wise and the fork locks out really well

Do i fit the dropper cabling with the outer for most of it?

Havent ridden it yet though as it takes me a week or so to get it helitaped etc first

I have. Best bike I’ve owned and I’ve had Kona’s and Speccys. I still have the silver 2015 version with no compelling reason to change it.

I have the 2015 version and it is a very capable bike. I don’t get time to MTB anymore so it hangs in the garage unloved.
