Our Snowdrops have been out for about six weeks, the first of the Daffodils are blooming now. The Bluebells follow them but probably in late April or early May.

I’ve noticed the clumps of leaves showing, but no sign of buds, yet.
I’ll take a run over to West Woods in the next week or so, see what’s showing over there.

Our snowdrops are still out and any day now the daffodils will appear. No bluebells for weeks and weeks.

My first Daffodil was out at work three weeks ago, the Snowdrops are about done and the Bluebells are shooting away but no flowers yet, all in West Fife.

Spent last Sunday over West Woods, near Marlborough, and this is all I found:

There’s been a lot of tree clearance, which would be fine, except the loggers trim all the small branches off then leave them lying in heaps right through the open clearings where the bluebells grow, which really spoils it when they finally bloom.
Why can’t they drag the rubbish out and shred it, and sell it on to garden centres? Leaving the dead branches seems to encourage the growth of brambles, and the wood just gets full of those and ash saplings, which are like weeds.

Quite a few cowslips growing out on the open grassland at the moment, but they’re pretty tiny, however,,a couple of years or so ago a tiny little cowslip appeared alongside a little path across the lawn out in my back garden.
    It now looks like this:

It’ll have to be moved next year, I think…

No pics, I’m afraid, but looking good Thursday night in the woods around Ipsden, Stoke Row and Nuffield loop. Should be peak blue haze next weekend.

Finally got over to West Woods today, almost impossible to park anywhere! Lots of bluebells out now, but sadly it clouded over not long after I got there, so most of my photos are a bit dull.
