  • Blue screen on laptop – is it dying?

I’ve had a blue screen with white writing on my laptop twice now in 2 days.
It then shuts down and restarts before I get a proper chance to read it.
Anyone know how to fix this before the hard drive dies.
    Thanks in advance

Fixed a friends the other day running chkdsk /r from the recovery console:

Assuming it is XP. You don’t lose any data.

if it happens again have a look at the error codes on the blue screen and then type them into google, it may give you a clue as to whats causing the blue screen.

Sound like your system is packing up.
