Looking for a way to reduce chain slap on big drops and thought the C-Guide might be just the job.
I’m running Zee rear mech, RF N/W ring but find that I get a bit of slap on big drops/steps. I’ve adjusted the mech as much as I want to as the clutch band broke when I’d slightly over-tightened the tension adjuster so don’t want to tighten it any more.
Is anyone running a similar set-up? How well does it work?

I’ve heard you shouldn’t due to the extra tension you could put on the chain leading to snapping…but then I also remember seeing some stock norco’s running this?!

Ran a C guide v2 all last season with an X0 clutch rear mech, with no problems at all. Now running the new C guide Eco (multi axis moulded version) with X01 clutch, N/W ring and have had no problems at all in 9 months.

Couple of mates have C guides and Shimano clutch mechs (one has Zee, one has XT), neither of them had any problem either.
