    Hey all,

Would like to do a biking and outdoor holiday in the summer in the UK-looking for somewhere with good trails and possibly climbing, kayaking etc as-well.

Has anyone done a similar type of holiday or got any reccomendations?

    Thanks

    Will

Probably Aviemore. It seems to have everything but I’ve only experienced the biking, which is excellent.

If you can’t find what you need in Swindon what about Plas Menai?

Aviemore area and Wales are leading the way at the moment in our thoughts. Not sure the best way to organise it though-package deal? book accom/activities separate?

Somerset – Mendips and Quantocks to ride on. Climbing in Mendips. Don’t know about kayaking.

    Don’t know about kayaking.

The Levels are like a lake in places at the moment – a kayak would be quite handy 😀

Another vote for Aviemore. There a number of companies who will provide various activities for you – e.g. http://www.g2outdoor.co.uk/ There’s also an indoor wall in the (unlikely) event that it rains one day.

Cairngorm Hotel is a goodie if you’re looking for accommodation – or try Glenmore Lodge.

Loads of biking available – get in touch with Bothy Bikes for route maps and chat with them while you’re there for “un-charted” options.

Snowdonia is brilliant for all of those activities. If you’re experienced enough you can just rock up and climb, kayak, canoe and bike to your heart’s content. Great single track at Coed y Brenin, Marin Trail and Penmachno and loads of campsites, bunkhouses and pubs.

If you need a little tuition you could try one of many outdoor centres. Plas Brenin is the ‘Daddy’ of the outdoor centre world. It’s a bit pricey but much higher quality accommodation than you’d expect from an outdoor activity centre. Plas y Brenin – The National Mountain Centre
