what are the best locks to stop the thieving pikey b######s

The most expensive and heavy ones. good reports of Almax but I have not used 'em. I prefer shackle / D locks but the shackle must lock both ends for strength.

    £60 upwards

If someone is determined you can't stop em. You can only slow them down. Electric cutters can go through pretty much everything. With a D one you are doubling their time because they have to cut the lock on two places so get two of those. Most decent bikes I have seen locked around my area – Watford – they are locked with two D locks. I don't leave mine outside anywhere any more as I had a GT stolen.
