    Bloke at work retiring….

…..has suggested he might do some riding when retired…

….have asked a few question to his son…..

….a hybrid style bike good for the likes of the Tissington trail and the road….

any thoughts on a stylish / nice brand?

We got the drop bar Tiagra spec version of this for my dad for his impending retirement. It’s great for the money- much lighter than anything else at the price. The paint’s a bit thin but other than that I’d really recommend it. I’m half tempted to swap my Marin Lombard for one.

OK – so decided on an e-bike……and a hardtail or possible hybrid type thing……for riding Tissington trail-type stuff…..

    Budget 2-2.5k….

    Specialised Levo thing looks good?

You can get a cube reaction hybrid for £1700 from most places , Bosch motor, the Levi has some reported issues with the motors and think the Bosch is better regarded at the moment
I’ve got the reaction and it’s great

You couod buy him a copy of “Younger Next Year” (its a bit American)

FWIW a bike you pedal is the way to go, as you retire it’s important to keep active, as the book argues you should aim to be more active.

Cotic Roadrat or Escapade. Support a Biritsh brand.
