Anyone have any experience of these courses?

I've been fixing my own bikes for quite a while but haven't done any of the more advanced stuff. Would be good to get a recognized qualification but the price seems pretty high although it is 10 days of training.

Redundancy is getting boring and IT jobs seem pretty thin on the ground,

Judging by the condition of the rear mech cable in their advertising I wouldn't go near them with a barge pole.

They are a good mob. Early days yet but very professional and teach to a recognised standard which will help you get work in a bike shop should you choose.

fair comment dropoff, that cabling is shocking, I'm sure Janis sorted it. As we designed the first ads before we set the Academy up, we had to use shots of our servive arm. Hence the bike was in the process of being fixed!

Thanks mudpup, whomever you are in the material world.

We've just finished course no 2 and it's been a blast so far. Expect pics of our lovely new Academy on the next load of ads!

also see August edition of bike biz (downloadable from http://www.bikebiz.com) for a news article on the Academy opening.
