get a car dash mount & bodge it ?
or even a flippy open leatherette case that has retaining clips. zip-tie it to the bars (open) and might even offer some shock absorption
like this(proper leather - might be a drawback in the longer term). I have one for my phone (diff brand) and it's a very good retention clip system for the phone
I do rather worry about mounting phones on a bike. Unless there was a "proper" bike mount, I'd always feel very nervy about it leaping out! Not to mention the rain side of things.
The only JesusPhone bike mounts I've seen have been very, very shoddy efforts to say the least.
Perhaps there's a market there for someone to make a "proper" one.
I use a RAM aqua box which I have for using on my motorbike. I then just added the handlebar adapter

Pricey for just a bike though
Been looking for one for a while (for a Jesus phone) and I've not yet found anything I'd trust to be sturdy, shock resistant and waterproof.
This one is the best contender I've found so far (iPhone but I think they do other phones):

But the 4 1-star reviews put me off!
These look pretty good, but not cheap at 50€
These guys were selling phone mounts at the cycle show, looked pretty good.
i bought a cheap flexible plastic case on ebay, put two holes in the back and cable tied it to the stem,
