I'm going to give potential buyers of my bike that's going on eBay the option of having me post it to them. To get a shipping quote I need the size of one of the cardboard boxes bikes come in, as I haven't been to my friendly LBS to pick one up yet. The Internet suggests that there isn't a standard size or that there are three, or one, or… Anyone know about boxes?

To fit my bike in needs to be at least 1160mm long by 760mm high.

Don't know of any standards, but my Large Trance X came in a box about 1550x840x250 if thats any help..

It cost me £15 to send a bike frame in a box, if that's any help

Use senditnow.com they just ask for weight. Think usual cost is about £12
