Any recommendations for bib shorts which have a long bib and leg for a given girth?

Tried four in a shop last night: Castelli and Pearl Izumi were the better of the four; Gore and Mavic were way off.

(And while we've having beanpole chat... armwarmers for orang-utan arms? Again, Gore a bit loose in the required length.)

Twin Six bibs are the longest in the leg that I've tried. Will struggle to try before you buy though.

Know what you mean!

How tall and skinny? 6'6 here, 37 arms, 34 waist, 44 chest.

Have tried all those and more, I found the top of the range Pearl Izumi the best - the bibs are a bit longer but also stretch more.

A mate swears by North Wave but I don't like their chamois.

Can't really help with arm warmers - I got Santini to make some long ones when they did our team kit.

Not sure exactly how tall and skinny - 6'5", 34" waist, 40" chest, arms dunno but mahoosive.

I've recently picked up some Northwave long-sleeved tops which fit well, so I should probably check them out. Giordana make the best-fitting waist 3/4s I've found, too, so I guess they're a maybe.

It wouldn't be hard to cut and sew a bit of extra fabric in to the bib would it?

I'm not quite as slim-hipped as AnalogueAndy but I found the average Pearl bibs to be rubbish and the legs were huge and not very grippy on my substantial thighs - they would be hell on thin legs. I found Gore to be pretty good but the ones I have are just-below-the-knee.

Descente make tall-and-skinny friendly bibshorts. I've got two pairs of (I think) large and the legs almost reach my knees - 6'3", 37" legs, 36" chest. Bibs are long enough too.

I'm not surprised the bibs are long enough given those dimensions - you must have about 8" left between hips and shoulders ๐Ÿ™‚

Yeah, I'm a bit of an odd shape ๐Ÿ˜€
Endura make all our club kit so I have most of it custom, but occasionally something stock from one of the big names will fit.

You charmer ๐Ÿ™‚

I did once try botching a pair of 'extra long' bibs by stitching some extra 'bib' in - my stitching lasted less than one ride!

Right. In case anyone can chip in on arm warmers (I've had to move my lunchtime online shopping on from lycra bibs after not really wanting to sit in an open plan office scrolling through reams of pictures of muscly men in bib shorts), hasty self-measurement with a headphone lead and a ruler suggests a bicep of 13" and an arm of 37-38".

Yup, that's why I've no intention of doing it ๐Ÿ™‚
