So what is the best tyre combo.
I’ve got blue groove 2.35 on the front and mud x on the back but the BG is a bit big and the mud x is v/good but a bit thin. I ride a chameleon so you can tell how my back is with thin tyres.

Like the cinders, used to ride fire xcs. I think the cinder is just awesome for battering through stuff, grips on most stuff, now my favourite winter tyre and as thye wear out I will replace fire xcs on other bikes. in 2.25 it is very comfy too!

Should have a look at the Continental Slash (2.3) or Digga (2.5) for the back. For scottish winter riding the slash is my tyre of choice. The compound isn’t desperately sticky, but the tread pattern is aggro enough for mud, but not super draggy or squirmy on hard pack.

Converslly, I thought Cinders to be slow, sluggish and gave my bike terrible understeer in the corners. Couldn’t wait to get rid of them.
