I know it seems like a vague question and everyone will have their own favourite but i just thought i would ask the question.

A friend is looking at swapping his old Specialized tyres that came on his Rockhopper for some new tyres, mainly to be used on singletrack such as Sherwood Pines and Wharncliffe type stuff.

What would you guys recommend for an all round tyre for that sort of riding?

Panaracer Fire XC Pro's are a good all rounder.

If it's for Sherwood Pines I would get some mud tyres. I think Wharnclffe will be a little moist at the moment as well.
