i need new pair of fingerless gloves and i don’t know what ones to get. my budget is about £40 and, as you probably know, gloves are an important part of kit so i would like some really tough, long lasting and comfy gloves but i still would like them to look good. i have a lot of choices but cant find ‘the one’.

Spesh Gel for me.

Only wear mitts, last pair of Spesh lasted over 5 years.
Now on Pearl Izumi which seem fine.

my last pair of Specialized BG mitts, now on last legs, were bought at around the same time as my HT – colour matched. Which makes ’em 16 years old eek.

Why do people wear fingerless gloves? Do you get hot fingertips?

Got some years ago, rarely wore them. I was getting cold hands in the winter, nettle stings and scratches in the summer, and looked like a tit with them anyway as I don’t complement it with the full lycra look 😉

Aside from ending up with muddy or oily hands.

That said, I found a use for them now, as I’ve bust up some fingers, got splints and they work quite well with them (not that I’m supposed to be riding yet!)
