My rear suspension bolts are loose already after just a few rides, what Loctite should I use on the threads?

Make sure whatever it is you end up with is “Low Strength” Loctite make stuff that goes all the way to permanent 😥 They also make cleaner for use on the threads which I don’t see getting used often.

The Loctite 242 and 248 are both ‘medium strength’, but Davesport has recommended using a low strength version.

Can anyone clarify which should be used?

243 medium strength will be fine

243 is fine; same strength as the 242 but less runny.

What you’ve got should be fine but I’ve never needed anything stronger than 222 on a bicycle.
