I got one of the dealextreme lights for commuting at the beginning of winter, it’s probably not better than what you’re linking too, but at £35 delivered you could have 2 or 3 1200 lumens lights. I’m more than happy with the quality of mine,

thanks guys used lumis myself for years so leaning towards another set, keep my old hids on the bars, just didn’t want to buy and then discover something better

you could probably have an Exposure Maxx D for that money – self contained, better 3hr output (debatable as at 1285 lumens in between the Lumi 2 and 4 hr figs) and every bit as good a reputation/build/warranty.

I got the V4 adventure kit which is a bit more, but the good thing is that you can buy all the bits individually. That kit includes two sets of lights so is actually pretty good value.

They sell direct and I’ve been really happy with them. My friends also seem impressed, one bought a set after them and the others with Exposure lights say they’re as bright if not more so….

Take a hard look at them; a lot of things that are extra cost accessories with other brands are included in the Ay Up set. Things like:

– 3 batteries; 2 small (2-3hr), 1 large (4-6hr)
– a 12V adapter that lets you charge the batteries in your car
– one helmet and two bar mounts
– a headband mount (good for camping, running, etc.)
– red caps that let you use one as a very bright blinking taillight
– choice of beam patterns
– choice of color for the light body

i got troutie dominator and hope vision 2. the trouite kicks its arse in run time/charge/brightness and everything for the extra 50 quid. i’m getting my daughter a troutie to replace the vision 2 🙂
