    Hi all,
Servicing the kids bikes this weekend so want to order some replacement brakes cables. Been a long time since I bought any so is there any recommendations?

    Thanks

I’ve used the Clarkes kits on my boys. Some funky colours, cheap and decent, grease them and use the long nose end things.

are you replacing just the inner cable or the outers too?
if its just the inners then use gear cables instead as the smaller guage of the cable makes the braking action smoother

Eh? Surely they won’t be strong enough, and also the nubbin on the end is the wrong shape?

they’ve always worked for me in the past. the nubbin will fit, but it may just sit a bit looser in the cable cradle.

The slickwire kit looks very much like the old Gore Ride-On? Brilliant stuff if so and ideal! Will buy a few sets I think at that price.
