Looking at taking some beefy tubes to the Alps with me in the likely event that I run a flat….. any recommendations as I am new to this wheel size!

    Tough? Maxxis DH
My fav combination was Dual Ply tyres and regular tubes
These days I’d probably just go tubeless.

Alps last year with 2 groups of mates. 1 group ran tubeless the others ran tubes. Our tubeless group had one burped tyre in the week, not a single puncture. The other group had 12 flats on the first day! Surely more issues in play but really says something to me.

If you really don’t want to go tubeless then I suggest invisible tubes.

I’ve always gone tubeless (5 weeks) and never had any problems.

Tubeless, but specialized are good too- not a dh tube but you shouldn’t really need that, with a sensible tyre. Just a sensibly tough quality tube.
