Big enough to chuck all your muddy kit in.

Strong enough that pointy things like shoe studs don’t make holes in it.

    Washable

Cheap to replace if you do lose or break it.

What better can you get for a pound?

Ikea bags are only 50p, IIRC. 🙂

40p and you don’t have to give your money to Mike Ashley.

Or rub shoulders with chavs! 🙂

Mike, Winston, you’ve both ruined my day now. My bonfire has been comprehensively weeweed on.

Another vote for ikea bags – you can even stand inside to get changed so your feet aren’t on the ground in your clean socks

Aldi bag – use the black piece of plastic at the bottom of the bag to make a fender bender mudguard then use the bag to keep your kit in. 🙂

IIRC, two Ikea bags will completely cover a MTB wheel. Cheap wheel bags!

I think I’d rather go into Sports Direct than have to suffer the hell that is Ikea just to save some money getting a bag! 😀

I’ve got a few of the Sports Direct bags in different sizes and they are great for chucking kit into.

Agreed! Especially as the nearest Ikea is Southampton…

I have a SportsDirect one as my dirty washing basket.

Don’t despair. I have tried Sports Direct bags and Ikea bags and much prefer the SD ones – more rigidity and stand up on their own whilst you put your kit in unlike the Ikea ones. So for kit use they are well worth the extra 60pence.

The Ikea bag is better for standing in the get changed though.

    One of each I reckon.

    Oh… My… God… They’re arguing over whose carrier bag is best… 🙄

(FWIW, Ikea bag every time, although I have a big dog bed to stand on whilst getting changed cos I’m posh. 20 quid from Pets at Home…)

I have 50 Ikea bags. You can get them on eBay so no need to venture to scandanavia.

They are perfect for transporting and stacking logs in. They can take 20-25Kg, the right width for a wood burner length log, easy to carry, and when you stack them they fill out into their box shape so they can stack safely and solidly.

Lets hear it for the Big Blue Bag! 🙂

I’ve used them to move a river bed and the smaller fragments of an exploded airliner.

The bags are probably the best thing IKEA sell!

I prefer the more niche exclusive Ikea yellow bags. I find that they bring my soggy kit alive.

They also now do them in different sizes, and with zip closures 🙂

I get funny looks when I go into IKEA and come out with just the bags!
