So I am being pestered by emails from a couple of consultants who want to speak to me about my old business / insulation industry for an hour on the phone.

Never had this before, and before I tell them again to naff off – should I charge them and chat, what is the worst that can happen….

I have the same issue a job I worked on is being redone, they want all my reports and a long chat. I’ve sent them a quote…

charge them – you can be sure they’ll be charging whoever’s commissioned them to do the work…

Send them a quote for your time

Inform them via email (writing) that you’ll charge them as a condition. Get their agreement (in writing) and agree an amount first.
